I'm pretty much a democrat but the democrats have really ticked me off with their "kids glove" attitude towards Bush. They should be hammering him daily in Congress and calling him on his numerous bungles and other shenigans. The proudest day of my life will be if they finally are brave enough to bring forth articles of impeachment against him and Cheney.

A big majority give President Bush an unfavorable rating. I don't even think there is a simple majority of people asking for his Impeachment, because there is no evidence showing that he broke any laws. A lot of libs, and maybe even a few others believe he has lied to us. As President Bush IS a politician, I am sure he has lied to us. That, in and of itself is not a crime as he did not lie while giving sworn testimony in a court.

The voice of the people does count, otherwise the former perjurer and chief would have been removed from office after he was impeached

"A big majority"?
Nice try on the spin
According to the Zogby poll, only 42% of Americans would approve of impeachment IF the President had done something wrong.
Oh, btw, just because the majority of your Dem/Lib friends want impeachment hearings, they don't speak for the rest of the nation.

Trial must be conducted, and grounds for Treason be found, then conviction before he can be impeached. Why continue when he has'nt committed any? He will be gone in little over a year.

The people are idiots. You have to find a crime to impeach and the daffy liberals think that just because their lying hero Bill Clinton got impeached they can impeach because they want to.

It's don't work that way libby.

Which "big majority" are you talking about? The fact is polls like this tend to ask liberals more than they do Conservatives. All you get is a poll of liberal Democrats. Hardly representative of the majority of Americans.

MSNBC is hardly a scientific pole.... ask the same question on a site like WND and the results would be entirely different, and likely more representative.

When there has been an impeachable offense committed?

A poll put on by the most liberal news station and you want to give it a shred of credibility.

I'm anti American conservatism because it's an anti intellectual regressive far right ideology which offers no idea's or solutions and puts ideology before reason, reality, facts and truth. They adore far right hate machines like An Coulter who openly promotes American fascism("let's go over there kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity") They have their own reality where anyone who doesn't agree with their far right rhetoric is a traitor and an enemy. In that regard they truly resemble the climate Nazi's created in Germany in the thirties.

WOW an online poll that is sure base in fact.

Get a grip

"While half (50%) of respondents do not hold this view, supporters of impeachment outweigh opponents in some parts of the country."

They won't. There are too many right wing hypocrites who preach and lecture to the choir, but when it comes down to a vote, they cave and give the president what he wants... without 60 Democrats in the Senate, to over-ride a veto, we are out of luck.
