I do not get it it is weird.

I don't get it either! It's like a movie full of extremely unpopular kids but I just don't see the HUMOR!!! A couple of my friends think it is hilarious but I just can't feel it. The only thing I can remember is that line "Give me some of your tots" thats it.

Part of it's appeal was it's pointlessness, and at the end, you'll see that things weren't THAT different, other than Napoleon managed to change the school's opinion on the popular kids and get Perdo elected student body president, and Kip found his "soul mate" (pun intended).

It's about a simple country lad in America going through the usual teenage angst of school and women. I didn't think much of it myself to be honest.
Check out Freddy Got Fingered instead, now that's funny!!

Napoleon is the rare confluence of nerd matched by a seemingly high sense of self and doesn't care who knows it.
It makes for remarkable entertainment in the context of the put-down parade that is high school.

It is about a geeky kid. It is supposed to be stupid. It was so stupid it was funny. He was geeky, out of style, and weird. It takes a certain kind of person to enjoy that type of humor. I didn't like it either. My husband thought it was hillarious.

it's about a rejected teenager ( napoleon) who tries to get along in the world, making his first friend, finding a girl he has a crush on, etc.
