I actually just recently stopped using my thick black eyeliner. The technique I came up with has made a world of difference -- the dark circles under my eyes are less noticeable, and my eyes really pop!
Use a dark brown or a rich violet eyeshadow to line your eyes. Try "Violete Frappe" or "Swiss Chocoloate" for this CoverGirl eyeshadow:

You'll need an angled definer brush to apply. Try this one:

Line your eyes from the middle of your eyelid to the outer corner. Apply a shimmery nude shade of eyeshadow to the lid, then bring on the mascara! Without all the heavy eyeliner, you can continue to use a lot of mascara. It'll open your eyes up even more without looking too dramatic for day time.
Good luck!

It will really depend on your skin type. Try a sample kit from everydayminerals.com They have a great powder called original glo. Choose the color that is one shade lighter than your skin tone. Use a natural or neutral colored cheek powder. It looks best when applied to the apples of your cheeks, you can do this by smiling and applying. Try a natural or neutral eye liner and a neutral shade of eye color, golds or beiges are good for any color of eyes. Then try a black brown mascara.

I think u shud go for sum black mascara, just 1 or 2 coats- not loads. I wudnt worry about eyeliner. Try a gold or a light brown for the eyeshadow. If u want, put a light coloured eyeshadow on the edge of a hard edge brush & put it underneath ur bottom lashes. U cud go for a gold colour on ur eyes, then wot ever colour top ur wearing put under ur lashes.

Just choose less intense colors (brown or gray eyeliner instead of black, for example, and dark brown mascara instead of black), and in the case of the eyeliner, smudge it a bit so it looks softer and less defined. "Natural" looks so much nicer on most people, especially for an everyday look. Save the heavy makeup for dressy occasions.

Some points to remember when using eye make-up
1. Powder usually looks more natural than creams, although a cream in a subtle shade that's blended well can look natural.
2. Shades in frosts look less natural.
3. Shades that offer just a hint of color look more natural.
4. Light, neutral tones look more natural than pastels or brighter shades,
but medium- or dark-toned neutrals look smoldering (which is as far from
natural as you can get).
5. Eye-shadow with eye-liner looks less natural than a pale eye-shadow alone.

Just wear a brown/black (dark brown) mascara on your top lashes. If this is too "natural" for you, start out with mascara on your top and bottom and then go to just top, once you are used to the top and bottom.
And two coats MAX.

Only put on 1-2 coats of mascara
THINLY line eyeliner. If that's hard for, put on less and less every day.

i`d say try Everyday Minerals.
It feels amazing on your skin like

at all. and you don`t get that cakey
look either. they have a free sample
kit so you can experiment with diff.
shades of foundation before buying
them..you have to pay for shipping
but otherwise it`s free. =)
