Depends on how you want it to look.

Keep in mind, unless you leave some green shoots the branch you cut will die. Spruces do not usually have latent buds on branches and trunk.

Trim back to the trunk, to the branch collar, to remove a branch. You can see the collar as a buldge around the base of the branch. If you leave the collar the bark will grow and cover the cut much sooner, and you don't get a scar of ugly stub.

Don't take off mor than 1/3 of the trees. If you limbed this one up 6-8 feet it will probably be fine. Don't cut off more than you really need to.

Just cut the branches off going up and around until they are the hieght you want. do this in the winter when the sap stops flowing. Other than this, a spruce doesn't need pruning.
