i'm not saying just any music, "emo" music... whatever, i hate labels and i'm sick of being labeled "emo" because of the music i listen to, so thats why i posted this question! thanks for the answers guys :) now i have to pick a best answer :( this will be hard...

if you like the music you'll be stereotyped as emo.
I like rock so I'm a rocker, little do people know I also listen to metal, punk, alternative and even some pop and country.
you are yourself and it's sad that people stereotype based off the music you like.
All I can say is I am so glad to be out of high school and into college where for the most part we're mature adults who don't have the time to spread lies and make judgments of others.

no you dont have to be emo to like that kind of music...but some people will call you emo for listening to it

no, most definitely not. i really quite like some emo music, but i'm not an emo myself, nor would anyone else that knows me class me as one.

NO, i don't consider myself emo (nothing bad about emo at all) and music is my life. i like pop, hip hop, rock, and play classic, and 3 instruments...... cause i love music. so no.
