I have this problem for this science question. I know it may sound kinda dumb but still. Okay, you were going to the lighted surface of the moon ,but due to some difficulties you had to land at a spot some 200 miles away from the rendezvous point. Would you still be in space?
That's not really my question but I need the answer to organize somethings.

No, I'm not going to space. It's just a question from my h.w that I been asking people.

Most people would say that you are in space anywhere on the Moon, but wouldn't that be true on Mars too? Or even Earth?
Anyway, I assume your spot some 200 miles away from the rendezvous point is still on the surface of the Moon, since you say you LAND there, and not above the surface, in which case you would unquestionably be in space.

Your question said that you "landed" at a spot 200 Miles from your agreed upon rendezvous place.

SO, no, you are not in space. You landed. However, you landed at a place on the Moon's surface that is 200 Miles across the surface of the Moon from where you want to be.
That is a fairly long walk, or ride on a lunar rover if you have enough (rover) battery power to go that far.

Zah

Rendezvous point? Who are you going to meet on the moon?

Anyway space is the empty volume inbetween stuff. If you are on the moon, you are not in space because the moon is solid mass.

Do you consider us to be in space right now? If so then yes.
