Not a well officiated game. Robinho moved the ball out of bounds on the side. He definitely shouldn't have gotten a yellow card (or a penalty awarded). I never liked that referee. He seems blind to me. No, USA has not improved and they will not until they get rid of their current manager, who insists on playing his son instead of more talented defenders. Also remember they lost to Sweden 1-0 the last time they played. The game was a lot closer than the score suggests. All the Brasilian players did well. Dunga should be satisfied enough. My prediction was actually really good since I didn't predict silly scores like 3-0 and 6-1...
No, trust me - he is no good. He is the one who helped Brasil scored their last goal. The USA has better defenders than Onyewu and Bradley. After a great 1st half, the team's energy on the defensive end disappeared! The 1st half was the best - they played a physical game with solid defense. USA are never offensively creative, so they need to make zero defensive mistakes to have any chance. This is what happens when US Soccer Federation hires a mediocre coach.

I was dissapointed with the referee, he usually does a really good job. I don't know why people say that he hates the US team, seemed it was pretty even to me. Even though Robinho got the ball out of bounds what the US team did was not right, it was a penalty. If the referee didn't call the out of bounds it was supposed to be a penalty.
There's no doubt that the US has improved, and whoever said that the US has only been playing for 20 years? They've been playing for MUCH longer than that. Definetely more than 100 years.
What I don't like is how cocky a lot of fans get when they beat Brazil or give them trouble. You can't win them all, you can't own them all either... even Brazil. I see a lot of people here saying that its pathetic that Brazil needed help from the referee to win. Anyone remember one of the last few matches that the US played against Mexico when the referee actually PASSED the ball to the USA and led to the winning goal?
Overall, great match, but Brazil definetely wasn't playing at their full potential, although they were still in control of the game pretty much the whole time.

I totally agree that it was not a well officiated game, one when Robinho got a yellow card not deserved and of the course the penalty kick not awarded, and then as compensation totally skipped the US penalty as well. I felt he favored the US on certain calls as well as Brazil in others.
Kaka had a slow game and Ronaldinho didn't do much better, except for a very well placed and played kick. The US did give it all they had and despite Brazil only having practiced once they played fairly well together. Brazil most definately did not put 100% effort into the game, as some may know they usually play at a fast pace, similar to what was seen almost closing the second half.
The US still needs improvement, but it was a good game to watch despite those unwise calls by the center ref.

I watched all of it and to tell you from my perspective, that might have been the best friendly match this year! The game should have ended 5-3 (counting the US auto goal and the 2 penalties for each team that weren't considered penalties) in favor of Brazil. USA gave a good fight, a GREAT fight. They definitely put up a great show enjoyed by everyone.

I agree that the USA has improved. Since the 2002 world cup you can see a big difference in their football.
I believe the USA will be one of the big teams in the near future, maybe faster than we think.
Now Brazil is a team which has won 5 world cups, has been in every single world cup, have and had the top players in the world, please have some respect.

I thought it was going to be an ugly match when I saw Ronaldinho and Kaka were playing, but really we didn't do so bad. I thought Brazil had a pretty even performance from all their players so it's hard to pick a best player. As for the US, it's amazing to say this having given up 4 goals, but I was pleasantly surprised and did think we showed promise for the future. Here's hoping. Mas parabens Brasil (my 2nd favorite national team).

1.robinho was clearly out of bounds at the end of the first half before the suppossed "penalty" OUT OF BOUNDS dummys
It was out of bounds but it was difficult to spot so don't complain.
2.josh wolf was clearly pulled down by that pathetic brazilian
in the penalty box 2nd half
Robinho should of been given the penalty shot earlier so the ref couldn't give US that shot.
3.when the U.S. gets moving. no one can stop them. not even brazil. (dempsey goal beautiful)
Brazil stopped the US everytime except for that one. Brazil clearly was the better team and you could tell that they weren't even trying their hardest.
4. i looked at the play over ten times and the foul that came 30 seconds later for brazil didnt exist.pathetic that brazil needs help by an incompetent referee to beat the U.S.
If you're talking about Rhonaldinho's goal I'm not sure how fair the call was since I don't remember seeing a replay but the goal was beautiful and you can't complain about it since it wasn't even in the box.
5.the ref calls a penalty for brazil and goes blind when brazil commits a penalty on the U.S.
Once again he had already canceled out the other penalty and was free to call this one.
