Every girl gets her period eventually, and these are just things that happen before you get it. It could be a while before you get it, or it could be tomorrow.
It's usually two years after you begin puberty.

If you haven't yet had your first period, it will probably be just a short time. You will get it eventually, regardless of your cousin's predictions.
