Baseball...Baseball is a reflection of America, it is endless with no time constraints a nine inning game ends when when it ends, unlike footballs which is confined to a clock: it is the challenge of one man (the batter) against the many (the opposing team) unlike football which is the challenge of armies lined up like old European troops: it is free and not burdensome relying on the athlete not the Armour, unlike the heavy padding of football, it is open and honest, the faces of the players can be seen, unlike the masks of football:
Baseball reflects the better Angels of our American way of Life. Football speaks to something darker and less real
