But I have changed it to a woman (the Empress of Knda). Should I keep it the way it is or change it back?

It's up to you. You can change the sex of your character as often as you like. (It would be kinda freaky if the your male emperor had a curse which allowed him to be a woman during the day and a man by night.)

Why have you changed it? If it's straight forgetfulness, change it back. Stick with your original idea. If it is essential to the plot, explain how/why he was changed. Medical Science? Magic? Or, Make the villain female from the start. Hope this helps

I think you should keep it nas an empress. It seems more powerful if it's a woman, idk y, it just does.
