Are there still large amounts of pre-decimal British coins floating around? I have close to ten pounds (by weight) of them which I am still sorting out. Even a few EdwVII and Victoria pennies and half pennies. I get no clues from eBay.
The only coins advertised much on eBay are "lucky" sixpence for brides to wear in their shoes.

I of course have no idea what the situation is in the UK but here in the states there are plenty of pre-decimal coins floating around. I believe the same is true in Canada. I have see 1/2 pennies and large pennies available by the pound. A lot of the ads say 1890's and up. There are quite a few collectors here that collect old British coins for they were legal tender here up till the middle 1850's. I can't right off hand find one of the ads, that were in Coin World. The coins did not sell for a lot. Your best bet is to pick up a book on them and see if you have any rare or scarce dates or varieties. If you live in the UK that should not be hard any place else you will need to find a copy of Krause/Mishler Standard Catalog of World Coins, 1801-1900 & 1901-2000 volumes.
