Hello, I am looking for an apartment to rent for myself. I've never done this before, so I am really confused about a few things.

People say that in order to get an apartment, I need to have

1. income that is 40x more than the rent
or
2. guarantor making 80x more the rent

The thing is, I do NOT work and I will be a college student, and I do NOT have a guarantor.

the rent will be for myself (roomate can be a solution but not an option)

Please help!

If your a student and you have no income how were you gonna pay your rent?

You need to find a job before you go looking to rent anywhere so that you can prove you can pay. You can't expect a roommate to pay everything for you.

Good Luck as to finding a place that will except a student with no income and no roommate to help out.

How's your credit?

No job ?
Then you need to document source of income that will pay the rent .
Or , consider living on campus ?
