Okay, my friend changed my ip address so I could dl something but he left but my internet hasn't worked since then... and it's been a week. =_= I know he used the start /run
method but I have no idea how to redo this.

*also I know the internet works because we have more than 1 computer.

Assuming a number of things: (Windows, DHCP)

Open your cotrol panel and click the icon named "network connections". Find your network connection and right click on it and select "properties". Select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and click the "properties" button. Click the buttons labelled "Get an address automatically" and Get an address of your DNS Server automatically" Save All. You may actually need to reboot.

Control panel>Network and Internet connections>Network connections> Right click your internet and go to properties> Highlight "Internet protocol"> Click Properties> Make sure the button is set on "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically".

Hope this helps

Call your Internet Service Provider man, your ISP. They will take you through all of the moves to get your IP back to where you want it to be. I guess that you're in the States, but if you ever get to Australia, I suggest that you hook up with Westnet, that's the best ISP that there is. Have a great day brother
