Do you report trolls, and stuff?

For the most part I ignore trolls and dirty avatars and stuff, but sometimes I feel they have gone to far. But I always feel like a tattle-tail when I snitch.....
Am I alone in this?
I tried just blocking 'em, but that didn't work.

If everybody obeys the rules here then Y!A is a better place for everyone. If you are going to be part of this community it really is your responsibility to report those who abuse the community. If you knew someone that lived next door to you was molesting little children, would you not call the police? Why is reporting a pornographic avatar on a web site where children are present any different?

There are some things I always report. Anything that could be considered pornography either visually or verbally always get reported. Any kind of hate speech, or any derogatory or offensive speech about any person or any group of people always gets reported. There is no excuse for any of this kind of behavior.

I usually report spam, and multiple posts. However, if someone posted the same thing twice I usually just ignore it. Most of the time that was an accident. However, if I have seen the same question by the same person three times or more (especially if there is a few minutes between each post), I will report it.

If I think someone is breaking a rule and doesn't know it, however, I will not report them. I will just let them know that their post is a violation and why, and hope that they go back and read the Community Guidelines.

I don't think we need to be Nazis about the rules, but I think we do have a responsibility to police ourselves, too. Being a tattle-tale is reporting every question that asks, "How do you like my avatar?" or everyone that mentions points. Reporting pornography, racial slurs, and abusive and rude behavior, however, is just being a good citizen.

Maybe your computer just clicked out at the same time you posted it or something. It could have had a serge problem for a brief second. Or maybe it was posted in another section because the post team decided that the question would get answered better there. In any case, you can get some answers now for it. I agree that some things should be banned from the web just like from the tv or any other place but the laws allow them and some of them are done from other countries other than your own and their country laws may be different too. You just have to ignor them and go on. You don't have to respond to them if you don't want to. It indeed would be a good idea to be able to block them just like you can block someone from seeing that you are online. Maybe you should suggest that to the group moderator.

No I don't.

The problem arises when people just report answers they don't agree with, not because it is obscene or foul. I have had a lot of questions and answers deleted that show certain demographics in an unfavorable but truthful light and they got deleted because people said it was racist. If yahoo would just read the answer prior to deleting it would be a lot better. A lot of people might not lose their accounts unnecessarily.

I don't like to report and believe that this should be a fun place, but there are some that really push things to far and yes, I have reported them. We have to remember that there are kids here. If it was an adult only sight I would love to give more leeway. I like double entree questions and answers but feel I have to behave better because of the youngsters here.

I report them if they are really obscene. There are a lot of different age groups on yahoo answers and it just isn't appropriate to use bad language or have an obscene avatar. They can go to a porn sight if they want to be gross.

When house is dirty, you have to clean it or help to keep it clean, otherwise it became an ugly, stinky garbage can.

If you like this site, why let some trolls to spoiled this?
You have to protect or stand for something you like or just loose it.....here and everywhere.

What I hate. When I write a question and it doesn't get posted. I had 4 with absolutely no answers. Have you notice the same people keep scrolling around and around on Q&A. Like you said it is sicking to see such xxx on here over and over but I guess that is ok.

It depends. I'm trying to stop because it's a waste of my time, but when I see idiots like Mysogynistic Bob B, I can't just ignore them.
