I am having a lot of trouble with this class, and just need some light shed on this question. Here it is: The Hebrew Civilization was different from other civilizations for all of the following reasons *except*: (1) They were nomadic, (2) They did not like cities, (3) They refused to adopt monarchy or (4) They worshipped a single deity.

If anyone could help me with this I would really appreciate it!

From the options you have offered it is clearly 4, "They worshiped a single deity.

Of course this is only true relative to most of the cultures within which they found themselves. However, as the slaves who left Egypt they were well aware of the single God Aten.

(4) Worshipped single deity

(3) is false, because at one moment in Hebrew civilization, they were ruled by kings (You could look it up!).

(2) is false, because they founded Jerusalem, among others.

(1) This is more problematic. Were the Hebrews nomadic earlier in their history? MayBe. But when they occupied the land that was to be their;s, there was nothing of nomadism.
