simplify this...

I feel like a moron with the simple things these days... someone please help me out! thanks!

6^-9 is the same as 1/6^9, which when multiplied by 6 equals 6/6^9. if you wrote out all the 6's on the bottom, you would then realize that is the same as 1/6^8, which is the same as 6^-8.

This means that six is raised to the minus nine power. When you muliply by six, it is like multiplying by six to the plus one power (still six).
When multiplying the same number with exponents, then add the exponents. So -9 +1 = -8
The answer is 6^-8.

The answer is 44.09081537.
and i know how you feel. I'm barely passing Alg. 2. but the TI-84 calculator helps me.... it's like the "God" machine.
