You can if you install a power inverter to convert 12VDC to 120VAC. The problem would be that it would be expensive to buy an inverter with enough amperage output to run the fridge and you'd probably have to install a second battery to keep from killing the one battery>

You would need to run another battery and a high output alternator putting out like 160 Amps and a power inverter than can supply 10 amps continuous, so that would be a big beefy inverter costing around $500..... it can be done.....

YOU WOULD NEED A POWER INVERTER OF SUFFICIENT AMPERAGE TO SUSTAIN THE ELECTRICAL LOAD THAT WOULD POWER YOUR REFRIGERATOR. I ASSUME YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT ONE OF THE SMALLER REFRIGERATORS. AN EASIER SOLUTION, DEPENDING ON THE AMOUNT OF SPACE YOU WOULD NEED FOR FOOD/DRINKS, WOULD BE A PLUG-IN COOLER THAT WOULD RUN OFF THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER SOCKET. MOST OF THEM ARE CAPABLE OF BEING POWERED BY DC OR AC VOLTAGE.
YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF TO USE THE POWER INVERTER WHILE YOU'RE DRIVING AND PLUG IT INTO AN ELECTRICAL OUTLET WHEN YOU'RE NOT. OTHERWISE YOU CAN OVERWORK YOUR BATTERY AND VEHICLE'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.
