Yes, both are necessary but neither is sufficient. Obviously emotion without reason cannot lead to moral decision making or good decision making of any kind. But at the same time morality has an emotional valence, so it must be present to temper a solely rational decision.

most definetly. if you have all reason and no emotion then u could make a horrible mistake where you're not happy... with just emotion then u might be happy but not end up in a good position.
