...this might be a little twisted to admit, but my favorite John Leguizamo is..."To Wong Fu, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar"...and my twisted appeal for the film is soley based upon his performance; indeed, the film is very funny, and the performances are outrageously over the top. Even if I was so naive not to know that the film was about a trio of drag queens, I would have pegged Patrick Swayze and Wesley Snipes right away; they were certainly a couple of gawd-awful looking women. However, John Leguizamo was WAY WAY too good looking for his own good; he would have certainly had me fooled, had I perchance encountered the attitude-laden sexpot character he embracedly enacted...and obviously had fun with...in this film...
...though he was quite literally unrecognizable in the role, I really got a kick out of his outrageous performance in "Spawn", as well...

he is pretty amazing in his range of acting ability. I think he was in Executive decision. But what I really liked that I saw him in was I think before the "the Pest" movie. He did a one man show stand up routine where he played a lot of different characters. One was a woman...

To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar - watched this almost everyday when I was undergoing chemo. I figured if these 3 men could be beautiful, then so could sick, bald, pale me.
