Do I have to warm up my car? Is it necessary during summer? winter?

in winter it really will help the life and health of your engine to run it for 5 minutes before you drive it in the summer a good 30 sec to a min to fully warm up is always advised but generally never used.

Unless you live in an area where you get ice and snow, not really. 15 to 30 seconds is good to get to oil flowing through the engine. In the winter maybe up to 60 seconds if its cold. some times 2 to 10 minutes in the ice and snow. "Also helps get the heater warmed up if it's really cold out.

It is not necessary. There is a great deal of change in the methods of engine managment as a car warms up, but they're all designed to start up and drive away in very cold weather. It's an important design consideration, and not easy for engineers to do.

While your putting your seat belt on>In the winter best to give it some warm up & let the oil flow as you don't want it to die if cold>
