The war on terror has no borders. The enemy wears no uniform. The war on terror is fought in our hearts and minds every day. As long as we continue to preserve our freedom, Constitution and way of life, we have won the war on terror.

You do not win a war against an ideal or religious belief with bullets and bombs alone. If anything, our presence in Iraq has been a recruiting machine for Al-Qaeda.
We need to be smarter in this war. Cutting off terrorist funding, securing our borders and at the ports, having armed security on commercial flights, getting more allies involved instead of acting alone and sharing intelligence, more targetted special ops missions against terrorists all over the globe, instead of putting 90% of our military in one area, and most importantly... to lead by example that our nation's liberty and founding principles act as a light of the world, and not as a bully waving military might around. We are the most hated nation on earth right now, and 10 billion nukes couldn't overcome an unwavering hatred. Kill one, two more will come after you.

I do not concede defeat in the war on the Wahabi sect of Sunnis known as Al-Qaeda. Now that the remnants of Al-Qaeda in Iraq are being killed by the more moderate Sunnis in Western Iraq, we can transfer our forces to the Afghanistan border where the really dangerous Al-Qaeda plotters are led by Usama bin Laden. (Remember him?)
I do concede defeat in Bush's attempt to cajole the majority Shi'ites into giving some of their oil to their blood enemies, the minority Sunnis, who, under Sadaam Hussein and his predecessors, have been suppressing the Shi'ites and stealing their oil for the past 80 years.
I also concede defeat in Bush's attempt to cajole the minority Sunnis into paying taxes to their blood enemies, the majority Shi'ites, who, because there are 4 Shi'ites per Sunni, will always control the government in any democratic election.
Partitioning Iraq into Sunnistan, Shiastan, and Kurdistan is the only solution. Except for the area around Baghdad, they are already independent states. We should (1) stop training and arming anybody; (2) offer to evacuate threatened Sunnis in the Baghdad area; (3) redeploy our troops to strategic border areas where they can be supplied or can exit with relative safety. With less than half our present strength, they could prevent outside interference and protect Kurdistan and other nations; (4) offer to mediate an agreement on boundaries.

It's a little known fact that while Bush&Co. has been waging the war on terror, a top secret cadre of Democrats has been waging a war on vampires and werewolves, and even though there have been no domestic attacks by them for the last 20 years, no one bothers to thank them.

I think that they are afraid deep down. Most people think that it is creating more terrorists. I think that's fine, bring em' out of the woodwork so we can school em' though, the fact remains that it is a war on an ideology and you can't shoot that. You need to fight their opposition, but most importantly you need to fight the ideology. Continue the war on terrorism!

It should not even be termed a war. It's a battle that can never be won or lost.
It can be battled but it'll never be won. . .it simply displaces terrorist in another location until the time is right to reappear.
Just like a war on drugs. . .yes it does prevent some drugs from entering the U.S. but on the whole, there is still a lot more drugs being undetected.

Blah, blah, blah.
Terrorists have ALWAYS existed. We have always been against terrorism. There is no 'war on terror'. These outlaws have been hunted for years, well before Bush coined this rather unoriginal phrase to scare up support for the Iraq war. If you want more funding to hunt down terrorists, fine. But let's not make such a big deal out of a few psychos that want to blow themselves up.

Because they put way too much stock on what the left wing media and the left wing political party with an agenda say.
