Anyone heard of a movie where the main character is mentally ill that gets injuried while playing football?

Made fun of it in not another teen movie

The closest one I can think of is "Lucas" The main character was not mentally handicapped but he was nerdy and he gets hurt in a football game.

Radio, haven't seen all of it, but that would the closest thing I could think of. But they don't make fun of it in Not Another Teen Movie, they make fun of Varsity Blues but the main character or any for that matter is not mentally ill.
