Well heres the deal. I am 5ft 5 in and 15 years old. I am 160 pounds so people tell me i wont get too tall because weight is effecting my growth. Is this true? and btw my brother is 6 ft 1 in and my father is like 5 ft 9 in.

No, that is not true! Your weight has nothing to do with how tall you will be. Your height is predetermined by genetics. It can be stunted by improper diet or some illnesses but there is nothing you can do to be taller without medical intervention. A doctor will not intervene unless you will be of greatly less than normal height. A male will continue to grow until age 21 while a female reaches full height at 18.

As for how tall you will be, talk to your pediatrician. Pediatrician's usually take a femur measurement of an infant around 2 years of age and from that measurement can predict fairly accurately how tall a child will grow.

You might want to go here, enter the required info and receive an estimate of how tall you will get to be. Remember, it is only an estimate! It does not take into consideration the rest of the "family tree". It only uses your parents so it is not very accurate.
