If 2ax - 5x = 2, then x is equivalent to...

[1] (2 + 5a)/2a
[2] 1/(a - 5)
[3] 2(2a - 5)
[4] 7 - 2a

Sorry, the third answer choice should be 2/(2a-5).

because the x's are in 1 side of equation and are common to both terms, we can take out an x.
so now we get x(2a+5)=2
to get x alone, just divide by 2a+5

x=2/(2a+5)
