We left Louisiana went north up to South Dakota, across to Yellowstone, down to Las Vegas, over to CA, then back to Louisiana through all the states you have to go through. Don't remember, it's been about 15 years ago.

From Wasau ,WI to Sarasota, Florida 26 hs drive plus 4 hrs of sleep in a rest area. Very good experience. I drove once from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Camboriu , Brazil .That was like 22 hs but worst for the road conditions and the trafic . If I know I can pass Colombia without being kill for a cartel I would like drive from FL, USA to patagonia Argentina , some day!!

I was on the road for 1 month. My wife and I were camping across the United States. She wasn't my wife at the time, but she was when we returned home.
We went from Chicago, Iowa (2 nights), Minnesota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, California, back to Nevada & got married at a drive-thru, broke down for a few days, drove to Arizona, New Mexico, hit the 4-corners, Colorado, broke down in Rocky Mtn. National Park overnight, then drove straight home (21 hours) through Nebraska & Iowa the next day (if I stopped, the car would leak anti-freeze and overheat).

i've been on the road for weeks at a time and have lived in a motel for about 2-3 months on more than one occasion but my longest drive in one day was somewhere around 14-18 hours.

San Diego, CA to St. Louis MO. It seemed even longer because we were moving to St. Louis and the kids were 5 and 8 at the time.
