No, your not the only one! I have been embarrassed quite a lot over the years, as he wont even try to mix or talk to anyone if we go anywhere, people have commented on it He makes really childish jokes and does silly walks like in Monty Python at times.. Yes it was funny the first few times, but over 30 yrs later I cant burst out laughing anymore also him being nearly sixty now with a 1960's hairstyle (long & totally grey and just a mess as doesnt ever brush or comb it) It is almost an Afro at times!
The kids were always being teased about the way their father looked. My son said one day that he didnt really want his father to go to something at the school as he was so embarrassed about the way he looked, and would be badly teased about it. Cant say anything though, as he cant take critisism at all!!!! Have gently suggested he had bit shorter hair, and he has had it a bit shorter at times, and I always say how nice it looks, trying to encourage him to keep it bit shorter.

Hi, i happen to be a man,so i cannot answer the question as it is put, so i will just brobe a little, maybe more info will come in from this friend of ours.
Naturally this is a fact of being assertive, and having a good self esteem, cause if ther are no factors which cxan be classifies as extraordinary, anything can be arranged and most of all accepted, especially if the problem is not self induced.

My husband embarrasses me deliberately just to wind me up (yes, farting in aisles in supermarkets as already mentioned) - arguing with sales assistants over almost nothing - 'what do you MEAN it can't be delivered til tomorrow' - that kind of thing. Now I just engage with the other person and sigh. Doesn't mean we don't love them, doesn't mean they don't look after us beautifully - they just like a little wind up now and then to add spice to life. At least I HOPE that's all it is.

Are you embarrassed because he's goofy, a blithering idiot, a racist, what? We need more information.

My ex-wife and dauthers have been embarrassed by me I'm sure, but only because I'm goofy and I like to make others laugh. But I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing.

The others could be bad... very bad.

Good Luck.

So who is weirder - the loud guy with the eccentric opinions, or the daffy broad who marries him?

Mine embarrassed me all the time, he took every oppertunity to shop, browse and get the attention of other women and if I was there with him he'd pretend we wernt together. He took another women out on a date for fathers day, then came home to me and had me buy him fathers day dinner, he loaned me the money then later got it back from me, I thought he was joking since he gave me a mars bar for mother's day, he's out of my life now though. oh then he let me meet the woman online and there on her spaces is her in a feild of wild flowers, she taged it has "father day flowers" the only place he ever took me out was to the movies so he could nap, he snores thats really embarrassing.

It's part of a Husbands job description to embarrass their partners and their children.
Don't worry about it he will grow up when bits start falling off.

Must be you. I'm very proud of my husband! It's such an honor to be his wife and I'm treated like a queen. I feel sorry for women who fell embarrassed by their husbands. Why are you married if that is the case?
