no, Johnny Rivers made it famous in the mid 60's, not Charley Pride! The title is "Mountain Of Love", and sorry, don't know any women who sing it. I know Ronnie Dove did it in 1968, after Johnny Rivers did it in 1964. One of my favorite 60's songs. I have the record too.
