"Grass is greener elsewhere" syndrome is common enough between the masses, everyone wants something that they can't have. It's just "in our nature". We have nice things, but always want something we think is even better than what we have right in front of us. But what happens when we want what we can't have...and it's nowhere near as wonderful as what we already have? How does that make sense? Why would someone want a beat-up pickup truck when they have a $100,000 car? How does that make sense? Simply because we can't have it. It doesn't matter if it's better than what we have or not, as long as it's just out of our reach, we'll want it.

Well Andrea
Just because I can't have you ---
is no sign that I live MY life that way ! Actually I have most everything I need and my "wants" are fairly simple ! I have goals -- those, I'm ready to work that much harder on getting --but, I've had my day of the rabid pursuit of the ellusive and forever "at a distance" glitter junk !!

What a strange idea. If you want something, then go out and work towards it, set goals, and attain them.

If I see something I want, I earn it....I don't spend my time wishing, or daydreaming about it.

Then again, I am not caught up in the world of consumorism in the slightest.

Because we always think it's something amazing until you see it's yours, in your hands, literally yours-- not even borrowed, completely in your hands.

Or, it could be a self-esteem issue. Could the human nature think everything looks glamorous, and when you get it, it's no longer anything special because you own it?

I don't know... I just took a guess.

because they want it so bad that they can't control the part of them that knows they can't have it .some times it's so strong that they try to get it any way and bad things happen but that's the price they pay for trying to get something that they know they can't have
