"fled is that music" or is that a different literary term. or is that nothing?

G'day Jenna,

Thank you for your question.

My view is that is nothing. A metaphor is a direct comparison between two seemingly unrelated subjects such as in the famous line from Hamlet.

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;

A metaphor is an implied comparison while a simile is a more explicit comparison. A simile version of the Hamlet line would be:

All the world is like a stage
And all the men and women are as players.

I have attached sources for your reference.

Regards

That doesn't make any sense. Use proper grammar.

A metaphor is a comparison without using like or as, such as "he's a pig." If it was "the music fled," it would better be defined as personification.

That sounds like nonsense. It certainly isn't any form of figurative language.
