Democracy has no replacement .Only quality of democracy has to be improved so that even the smallest & poorest person may feel that his voice of grievance is heard loudly & prompt action for speedy & satisfactory solution of every problem is taken. For that quality of politicians as well bureaucracy is to be improved greatly. Only at least graduates of good characters who can understand the constitution must be allowed to participate in elections. There must be fast track accountability authorities for both politicians & bureaucrates.

Gone are the days of a single party securing
majority in parliament.Coalition governments are here to stay.Of course a horrible feature of this is the constant fear of a major constituent of the coalition pulling in a different direction
over a single issue as is happening now.The
result is the instability.With instability the attendant problems crop up.Price rise of essential commodities,inflation et al.The problem will get compounded by the heavy expenses to be incurred on an unnecessary General Election that is foisted on the masses who have to foot the bill.In such situations the
President should suspend both the Houses and take the reins of the government.But then these are mere wishes and as they say "If
wishes were horses----".It is high time the PM calls the bluff of the communist parties(there are at least 7 known factions of this one group)
and does what he has to do and that is govern with an iron hand.

Democratic system of ruling may be called best of the worst lot. There is nothing called true democracy. Take the example of India, the so called largest Democracy. If you analyse the Election results you will find statistically we are always ruled by the minority. There is no accountability or check for income or expenditure in Government. We have never experienced any democracy. The present system is little better than slavery. If you say we are democratic country, you should give full freedom for the states. Each state's requirements are different. The prices of goods and their taxes different in each state. How can you say we are one country? The land prices of Delhi and around are the highest while the prices going down as we travel south. What kind of standardisation we have?
