13 = (3/8) x - 2
104 = 3x - 16
3x = 120
x = 40
Father is 40

Let d be Dad's age and k be Karma's. The problem states that
k = (3/8)d - 2
and gives k = 13....
13 = (3/8)d - 2
15 = (3/8)d
(8/3)15 = d
40 = d
