I was at work, on one of my breaks. I didn't want to go back to work, I wanted to just go home, and be with my children. It was a very sad day & the more I watched it on TV, the more I cried. I think of how all those people had to die .Today, I hear on TV stories about all the heroes whom worked at ground zero & are getting sick today from all the dust. Yes I will always remember 9/11. I will always put out a flag on that day & pray for the families that lost loved ones on that day. God Bless the USA, and all the families it effected.

I was getting ready for school. My grandmother was up already but she didn't tell me anything, when I asked what was going on she said I would hear it at school. I remember it was a dark day, uncommon for september. Almost like the world was in mourning. Watching it on t.v. it looked like something out of the movies, unreal, surreal and scary. Days later we wrote letters to firemen involved but never heard a answer back.

I lived in Manhattan I was working at the US Customs Department as a canine trainer. I lived 5 blocks to the north and saw the whole thing as it happened. My dog I had at the time did search and rescue also and was at the site she didn't find anyone alive but she found 4 people so their families could have a proper burial. She was never the same after that she was so used to finding them alive.

I cried when I heard about people calling up their loved ones and telling them how they loved them. I was seriously crying and I was so young back then too. I am still young now but yea..they didn't tell us until after we came home from school. At school they gave us some letter at the end of the day and at first like all school letters I thought it was about some disease running in our school so we needed a vacination or something but then I came home and it was all over the news.

I was home with my husband. We were having a lazy morning, lounging watching the television. When the news broke in and we saw the first plane hit, it hardly seemed real. When the second plane hit... We just sat and watched in shocked silence. At that point it didn't even occur to me how many people must have died. It just didn't seem real. We watched for hours and called everyone in our families. It was horrible.

I was at work. We had a radio but we had inventory and didn't hear anything. I had to call my second job, which ironically was at the county ambualnce service ( EMT). He was like" are you not by a tv???" So I let everyone else know and we ran to the radio. We hurried up inventory and I went home. They closed my store at 2 pm ( I was the manager) so my employees got to go home to see what was going on.

'' It was horrible that is a day I would never
want to remeber.'' I was livinq in new york.
and I was in school and I could remeber everythinq happeninq so fast.
imy daddy was one
of the first to come to my school and pick me up.
He had a look on his face that I would never
forget. He was scared to death.' But he was tryinq
not to show it. He was screaminq at me to get in the car and just leave all my stuff behind in school.
I followed him worried. I knew somethinq was wrong. I muttered the words out and asked what
happened and he told me. I cried and cried
Honestly that day I thought I was going to die.
I was scared. and most of all scared for everybody else's life. ;[
