I think journalists go into that profession with all the best intentions, but once employed they seem to become part of the machine that is media and have their individuality taken away by their greedy employers who HAVE to win the war of the rating, and they all convince themselves they are being good journalists, - hey its more important to be a good human first, and journalist second.

I think this is a sloppy question because it forces us to generalize about an entire pool of people who may encompass several sets of values. That would make it a pre-biased question, something that people who are trained in journalism are taught not to do. So, to answer you question, my answer is "No." A certain % may only care about money, but there are people of principle in media who take seriously their role of being watchkeepers of the public good.

Most things come down to money.
It would be nice to read a newspaper, see the news etc that deals with the facts and not opinion.
