I have hard this in recent posts and I don't understand why? I think she is very inspiring, one of the things I LOVE about what she did was when she made a school in africa for all those girls. It was such a beautiful and inspiring thing.

lina if anything she REMEMBERS where she came from. look at her she goes all around africa helping them out because some of them really need it.So !oprah's audience is based on whoever buys the tickets ultimately more whites go to see her show that doesnt make her racist its not like she chose who could come.
i love oprah shes a great great women

Well I'm white. I used to love The Oprah Show when it first started. But somewhere along the way she has forgotten where she came from. I'm was from a poor town in the South also. No one can afford the things she promotes on her show like the $100 must have t-shirts. Get real! Also, she says we need to have time in our lives for reflection and how we should decorate our bedrooms, no wait "sanctuaries" with $50 candles. She does do some incredible things for people. I just wish she would come back down to earth a bit. Remember when she was on the road trip and forgot how to pump gas? That was the last straw for me.

Black and white women just adore Oprah. I have never seen such a post. Why is she the richest woman in the US? Someone likes her and she is one damn smart cookie.

I'm going to echo what was said already; It's not that a lot of black people hate Oprah (Though some definitely do), but they don't like her show. It has many twists and turns, and it can be confusing at times. She'll go from saying "Love your body" for example, but then she'll endorse Alli. :p Beautiful head games, no?
I personally don't have a problem with her, but the rest of my family simply says she's a great woman, but her show is annoying.

Not all black people feel that way. Just because a few don't, doesn't mean all black people do. They might be jealous. I like Oprah, sometimes I disagree with her opinions and I rarely watch her show.

Because she's an Uncle Tom. She only helps and caters everyone but blacks. She rarely helps AMERICAN BLACKS. Even on her show MOST of the people that got those free cars were white, and they didn't even need or want them, most said they were gonna sale them, when their are MANY blacks here in America riding a bus just to go to work.
Back in the days she use to be every woman, but NOW with her fame she has forgotten where she came from.

As a person Oprah is awesome. I just don't like her show. She sometimes let her own personal bias affect the way she talks about things.
