Well, your extensive theatre experience will probably help. But you should try to get in a few films, like student films, to show that you can act in both film and theatre, as the two are a bit different. But just keep your eyes peeled for open auditions, or go to a convention, like Talent Search America. You audition for top acting agents, there for two days, and if you get callbacks, and interviews, then you can get signed, and they will help you.

Get an agent.
Get an equity card.
Two important things but you really need to start by getting a small part (unspoken, extra work maybe). Don't give up your day job. Try sending your cv to agents. There is a list in the media directory. A good book to get, see below.
Don't pay websites to find auditions.
You need some audition speeches/monologues so get prepared-use monologues from plays/films that you are passionate about.
And be prepared for rejection.

Egad, the blind are out there again, trying to lead the blind.
If you indeed have a good strong community theatre resume, what you need is professional classes in acting for the camera and some guided reading.

You have to be accepted into the actors guild, and you have to be able to pay it's expensive cost. And it helps if you are Jewish. And you have to be open to the casting couch.
