What are the most effective ways of decreasing world poverty and is it possible to relieve the world from all poverty?

There isn't a simple way like that. There is a local solution, though. If you pass by a homeless person or some one who's needy, do what you can. You could risk a lot by letting them live with you, but it may be worth it. Not everyone will do this, though.

The UN and aid organizations are trying to answer this question but economist do not have an answer about why economies grow. However, they know somethings that keep countries in poverty, war, civil unrest, a sick population, too fast population growth, and corruption. Most also believe that free market are needed to promote growth but there have been some exceptions.
Ridding the world of poverty looks a lot more possible now than it did 50 years ago when India and China were as poor as Africa is now. There are a lot of poor countries, most of the really poor ones are small.
