maybe they think the answers are more important than the questions since they don't even get second billing

Because there wasn't anything out here like this web site before YA & Yahoo answered the call. People were wanting a site that was made up by their peers not a bunch of geeks on their computer throne.
By recognizing, that this is what the people wanted & longed for, Yahoo did just that. It created this format & it's sort of a play on words, "Yahoo Answers."
