I dont have valve oil... its sunday.... no stores open.... need it by tommorow

Yes there is....go find a mess of valves and crush them...strain the particles and you'll have fresh valve oil to rub on your instrument>

That's a tough question because you don't want to destroy your instrument...
before you try anything, do your valves NEED to be oiled? do you play the trumpet? (if so, you probably do need the oil every time you play)
If you are going to an event where there are other musicians borrow someone's oil. I wouldn't use anything that wasn't made for your horn.

Instrument oils are highly purified
so as not to 'gum up`.
In a pinch use mineral oil from the druggist.
Use the absolute minimum of oil. Put it only
where it's needed.

I've had that problem. For the safety of your instrument, borrow a few drops on Monday, then, go buy some.
