movie name?

ok,
i saw this one really good movie but i can't rember the name. it was about this scintist who figured out how to take a cat's 9 lives and give it to a human so the human could die 8 times. and most of the movie was were the guy with the nine lives was in a carnival or something and the choked him, drowded him, buried him and he was in a car crash there was also a couple others. well in the end he was going to die for the last time then come back. he never came back though b/c the kitty died once. it was a good movie but kindda dark. PLEASE tell me the name if you know it.

This was on TV and was one of the new Tales From The Crypt episodes.

I dont think its a movie i believe that its an episode from Tales From the Crypt...i dont know the name of the episode but Joe Panteliano plays the guy....i hope this helps!
