I spend almost 4 times as much on color safe bleach and I don't even know if it's really working or not. Does anyone know what the deal with this stuff is???

True Bleach uses Chlorine. Although, it contains a special form of chlorine meant to break up and destroy organic compounds. It is great to disinfect clothes and objects, but it is meant to kill bacteria and living cells, thus do not use on living creatures. There is an alternative cleaner that uses Oxygen instead. The point of soap and these cleaners is to release foreign chemicals and materials from the clothes, which sometimes includes the dye. In my experience, I have not had trouble with bleach removing colors from clothes. My only problem with bleach was it releasing the excess dye off of one of my towels and transferring it to another towel. If the bleach is removing the colors, maybe you are using too much. You should not be using anymore than that tiny cap full at any time. I think you should not be using more than a tablespoon of bleach for a full load of laundry provided it was rinsed out properly.

I don't think that it does, but that might just be me. We now use Era liquid in our washing machine WITH NO BLEACH AT ALL EVEN ON WHITES and it does a beautiful job. I was shocked and amazed!

Be sure to read the instructions on the container. You don't need a lot or you will have too much suds. It does not suds up like other soaps, so don't keep adding more soap or you will have a problem on your hands. lol
