Depends on your definition of a scoring point guard. Deron Williams shot 13.5 times a game last year averaging 16 points and 9 assists. Baron Davis focused slightly more on scoring and averaged 20 points and 8 assists shooting 16.4 times a game. Gilbert Arenas on the other hand was among the league leaders with 28.5 points per games, but only averaged 6 assists while shooting 20.9 times a game. Williams had the highest field goal percentage and most assists while shooting the least, so I would make him the definition of a "good" scoring point guard. However, Arenas averaged 12 points a game more and was a league leader in threes, so it's up whether you're looking for a point guard who does a little of each, or just a point guard who scores a lot.

There are so many factors to consider of course, but 10-15 is usually sound.
