6(-3v+1)= 5(-2v-2)
-18v+6= -10v-10(multiplying and removing the brackets)
-18v+10v= -10-6(taking all the v terms together)
-8v=-16
v=-16/-8
v=16/8(canceling both negative signs)
v=2(value for v)

6(-3v + 1)= 5(-2v - 2)
==> distribute on both sides
-18v + 6 = -10v - 10
==> add 10 to both sides
-18v + 6 + 10 = -10v
==> add 18v to both sides
6 + 10 = -10v + 18v
==> combine like terms on both sides
16 = 8v
==> divide by 2 on both sides
2 = v
==> switch order
v = 2 ... ANSWER

Multiply 6 through the first set of parentheses. You should end up with 2 numbers now, one with a "v" attached, and one not. Then do the same with the 5 on the other side. Next, add/subtract (whichever is necessary) the number of "v"'s on one side from the number of "v"'s on the other. Do the same with the integers (regular numbers). Now that you have your variable "v" on one side, divide the number of "v"s by your number. i.e. 15v=30. v=30/15
Solve for V.
*hint* v is positive and less than one. Good luck!

a million. 4.3v-6=8+2.3v upload 6 to the two facets 4.3v = 8 + 6 + 2.3v subtract 2.3v from the two facets (this gets all the vs on one side, "consistent" numbers on the different) 4.3v - 2.3v = 14 2v = 14 divide the two facets with the aid of two v = 7
