yeh, you could delete old programs, etc. ccleaner, will delete temp files, empty your cache, etc., thus freeing up space. you can change the size of your temp internet folder in internet explorer.
http://www.ccleaner.com/download
additional stuff - you can "right click", your recycle bin, and change the size of the recycle bin. also, you can right click "my computer", and click on the "system restore" tab, and change the size of it. this probably wouldn't free anything up yet (until you delete your restoration points). g/l, sos

Either delete stuff you don't need.
Steal a hard drive from a shop (NOT RECCOMENDED)
Ask a friend / family member to buy you one for a gift
No other ways.

Get rid of programs you don't use.
Do a disk clean.
Then do a defrag.
