I feel sorry for your children. It is difficult growing up with a manic depressive who refuses meds. I would be willing to almost bet that you would have not to many problems getting custody if she refuses meds...in fact you could even try to go for supervised visitaitons on her part. My mother was manic and refused meds...life was literally hell.

It will help because she is not only a danger to herself but to the children. All I want you to know is that Though you will win, everyone loses. This woman is suffering from a crippling disease and as such capable of the Unthinkable. This is a true tragedy and you would need to temper your win with buckets of understanding love and patience,I wish you all the love the family needs.

get a family law attorney, when she gets abusive or drunk call the police for a psychiatric pt. DOCUMENT ALL DATES AND TIMES OF THESE EVENTS, set up a cam corder, the more documentation you have the better the case for you, see a counselor yourself ( another paper trail that can be used for your case) all of the police records can be pulled for court. contact her psychiatrist or dr. and let them know what is going on. you must have documentation of EVERYTHINg

It will as long as you have a dr to support your claim. You will need evidence to back upany accusations you make against her or else it will beclassified as hearsay and your case will be thrown out of court
