First of all NEVER wash your face with hot water, this can cause broken capillaries on your skin which will be permanent. Acne is more genetics that anything, it probably has nothing to do with anything you're doing or not doing.
You skin is your body's largest organ so it's very important to take care of it. Not everything works the same for everyone so you may have to do a little trail and error. I've always like Neutrogena, they have some great products for acne prone skin. But talk to your parents about seeing a dermatologist, if they're willing to take you, you can ask your doctor for something generic and you can fill it at Wal-mart for four bucks for a month's supply. Do some research on webmd.com with your parents and learn about it together. I think you'll find that it's both easy and affordable for good skin care.
In the meantime look at Neutrogena products and Clearasil has a good line as well! They even have kits so there's no guess work in what you'll need! Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions!!!

Wash your face with clearisil and massage it for 30 secs. the clearisil cleans deep down fast, it cleans better than soap. and u wont get breakouts, dry skin, or cracky skin like other products(pro-active the #1 no no)and face wash. then after that put some Clinique dramatically different mositurizing lotion(one squirt goes a long way) this helps prevent breakouts, dry skin, and cracky skin. Use morning and night. befor u go to bed, put On-The-Spot Acne Treatment from Neutrogena and the breakouts will be gone in the morning. costs less= ]♥

Go to your physician and ask him or her to get you a prescription. I had a lot of pimples but ever since I started using Tretinion with a toner type of thing, my face cleared up. It leaves your face a bit tight and red in the beginning and you do start to feel your skin peel, but the best thing to do is adjust your use and lightly rub your skin with damp fingers to relieve it of dead and dry skin. Use a moisturizer with an SPF of at least 15. I use Neutrogena SPF 45 with Helioplex. Your skin will look better in a few months, but it'll stay forever! (hopefully.. lol) Good luck! =] Don't wear make-up too often even when you'll be allowed to. It's not good for your skin. I only wear it every now and then. I'm 17 BTW. You'll get through this stage. I remember when I was 12... I want to burn my pictures.. lol It costs about 10 dollars to go see your physician and about 10 dollars for the prescription. It's pretty cheap if you ask me.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

If you have horrible acne i would see a dermatoligist. If you have moderate acne then you should try a line such as clean and clear astringent and face wash. If its just a couple large dots here and there then i would get clinique spot astringent it works perfect for splotches, also use a oatmeal face wash to dry out the oil.

I use St. Ives make up remover and facial cleanser. I stopped getting breakouts since I started using it. It's found at Walmart for sure, and it's cheap. It's ok if you don't wear makeup to use this product.
Also, I've tried everything else.

go to the following web address:
http://www.romancing-the-soap.com
Contact the owner. Best advice, super website, reliable information. The owner is a health practitioner. I sent quite a few people to her website. They're all very happy they did. She gave them excellent advice. I just wish she would sell her stuff on the Net!
