Canada and England are moving away from their expensive HC systems that deliver substandard care to everyone, why are we even talking about bringing that mess here?

Recently a Canadian woman giving birth to quadtuplets had to be flown to Montana because Canada could not insure the saftey of those children, is this what you want here?

Montana isn't the first place I think of for advanced medical care but obviously it's better then anywhere in Canada.

I read an article in the OC Register comparing US to Canadian care, the OC has more MRI machines then all of Canada, how long do you think you will have to wait in Canada to get a simple MRI? Orange County is quite small compared to Canada and has a small fraction of the population of Canada, how can anybody think Canadians are better off then we are in the terms of Healthcare.

I don't mean to pick on Canada but facts are facts.

Both Canada and England are now allowing it's citizens to purchase private health insurance. something that Hillary will forbid you from doing when she gets control of your health care dollars.

Make no bones about it it's all about who controls those dollars, you or Hillary

well mr knowital, 100 Canadians is such a small sample you cannot draw any conclusions from it. you can draw conclusions from the Canadian Supreme court ruling that Canadians can buy private health insurance. Do you want your HC choices to have to be decided in the supreme court?

Obviously someone in Canada thinks you should not be able to buy private insurance. And Hillary does not want you to have that choice either. I guess Hillary doesn't believe in choice. And you need to research what Hillary was preparing to give us back when Buba was president

Nope, that is why I support universial health care, provided by private insurance companies. I haven't heard anyone suggesting anything else.
I do hear a lot of right-wing gossip trying to scare people, who do not do their own research into wrongfully thinking socialized medicine is being proposed.

By the way, people in America, think they need an MRI for almost everything, so it should only be common sense that any state would have far more than canada where they only give the treatment that is needed when it is needed.

No, I don't want the Bush administration running our health care. That's why I don't vote Republican.

Most of the rest of your post is GOP party line. The Canadian woman was flown to Montana because her case was exceptional and they wanted her to have better care. In the US she might not have had access to health care at all!

Every other developed country has some form of universal health care. Their results are as good or better than the US, at half the cost or less.

I have spent a lot of time in Canada and have talked with perhaps 100 Canadians over the years about their health care system. I have never heard ONE single story of someone dying while they waited for some vital service. Canadians have their complaints but like their system much better than ours. Access to health care is the main reason Canadians give for not wanting to move to a better job in the US.

Do Canadians come to the US for health care? Sure they do. We have the best system in the world for folks who can afford to pay for their own service out of pocket. If you have lots of money you can get waited on right away. But that's not most of us, or most of them. If you have to work for a living and depend on insurance for access to health care, the Canadian system is better in just about every way.

I believe that the paradigm is all wrong. We need to focus on prevention and wellness, not free sickness care.

Our money should be going to wellness products and services so that we don't get a disease in the first place.

Bush and brownie have no interest in Health Insurance. 20 % uninsured is ok with them.
