Spells work and despite what you may hear , every spell does not backlash when negative ,that is wishful thinking of the new age crowd ,sorry folks but the three fold backlash rule is hogwash ,made up to make little neutered witches who only do healing spells ,which is fine for the newbie wizard but really quite silly historically , when people do something negative or positive there is no cosmic scorekeeper who decides what is good and evil ,good and evil are relative to the perceiver. Now let's hasten to bewitch a cow!

Yep--I had a long time friend who was directing a lot of negative energy towards me I felt very sick all the time etc etc so I made a mirror box and put his picture in. ( A mirror box by the way symbolizes the negativity from the person in the box being reflected back to them and away from you) two days later on his way to work he was in a car accident. I also have a truth spell I use when I think people in my environment are being dishonest and I usually have a dream within 2-3 days which clarifies the situation.

This probably belongs in religion and spirituality rather than mythology and folklore...
Anyways, no. I haven't ever cast a successful spell. I've never tried to. There are many coincidences in life, and there are also many unexplained things that seem to intentional to be coincidence.
Nobody will be able to give you an answer that 100% satisfies your question. Your beliefs on the subject are something you'll have to work out on your own, quite possible for years.

Yes, I've cast many spells that worked in my lifetime. However, (and this is a bit funny) those who have witnessed my spell come to fruition have usually commented, It "appeared to work" trying to be tactful (grin); "that's just a coincidence;" or "You're just plain out lucky."
On your detail: By the laws of Magick had that spell been true the backlash would have been horrible. Apparently there was no backlash so it makes me wonder as to the reality of the spell. Spells should never be cast in hate.

Yes, a friend of mine did one to break up her ex and the new lover and it worked (rather quickly). I too believe that a friend of mine was sending alot of negativity at one time and I distanced myself from her and did some cleansing rituals and my unexplained illnesses have disappeared.

I had a spell done on me once and it backfired. I had to deal with the problem for about a month. NOT NICE!

I've read that casting a spell is another way of self programming.
You do the spell and then you attend to it.

Many times. My lvl 32 mage regularly casts fire spells at MOBs when they attack him. Check out World of Warcraft, a spell casting B$#&hes best friend.

Sometimes they get lucky. They seem to forget about the energy return rule though.
