for some questions there are specific answers, thus a sentence or a single word is enough. but there are questions, especially with philosophical and psychological content, that is just impossible just a sentence to be satisfying.

That depends entirely on the complexity of the problem. I like to be as succinct as possible. If it needs a long answer I generally post a link to a full explanation (and acknowledge my source).

I would rather someone be more explicit with their answers, specifically when they are asked an opinion. But I also hate it when people ramble on and on for multiple paragraphs too.

no i would relly like them to explain that to me what they r saying.i really like reading long explenations,that way i know what he/she thinks.
