I thought I read something similar to this in the US constitution too.....? or was it in a blank sheet of paper that Bush have been using in the toilet....?

Animal Farm was written by an English author, not an American. George Orwell was writing about the hypocrisy of the leaders of the Soviet Union. The quote you are referring to go something like all animals are created equal but some are more equal than others. It's a excellent quote because it can be used to describe so many different situations, including the one you mentioned
