had this same problem myself a couple of times. it is in the wiring harness it self but is extremely difficult to locate. it is more than likely in the harness that runs along the floor under the carpet. it comes with wear and tear everytime you enter and exit the vehicle. if someone tells you it is the flasher unit they are wrong.

As someone has already mentioned. it is more than likely in your wiring. I would think that it is on the hot side of the circuit because if it is damp or wet it will complete the circuit to ground, which may energize your turn signals.

Have looked at your turn signal switch?

More likely than not you have a wire that is either not grounded or is open and water is getting on it. Check wiring on both front and rear lights for any kind of wear. Maybe a mouse is nibbling on them.. and leaving them exposed to the elements. Hope this helps you. :)

Both sides? A little help here, it could be in the safety flasher circuit if both sides are coming on. If only one side, check the kick plate under the door(s) as that is a common place to get water in a cable.

I assume all this happens when the wipers are turned on??.....definitely a Multi-Function Switch or better known as the turn signal switch. Easily replaced and about $80.00

I must go along with Joseph switch assembly has a short in it cheaper to replace than try to repair.
